How can the community make Parameter Changes?
When OSWAP holders or the OpenSwap Risk committee obtain a consensus on a type of action (through a Poll Proposal) pertaining to the change of a specific ecosystem parameter, an Executive Proposal for a parameter change is created.
System parameters will have a scope where certain ones may only apply to a specific profile. There are three types of profiles:
Executive Proposal used to modify system parameters
Executive Proposal used to create new Oracle Pair with an adapter (may have lower create vote requirements to encourage new pairs)
Poll Proposals used to gather community consensus on any topic. (minExeDelay, minQuarum do not apply)
Following is a list of parameters that can be changed:
Minimum duration of stake required before OSWAP tokens is eligible to participate in governance to create proposals and vote. This value cannot exceed 30 days.
Protocol fee rate. Applies to all swaps. Value is expressed as a percentage of the swap fee. Given a swap fee of 0.3%, a value of 16.67% would yield a resulting protocol fee of 0.05%.
Swap fee rate for all swaps. Note that the share received by Liquidity providers = SwapFee - ProtocolFee
Recipient address for the protocol fee. If not set, the protocol fee will be disabled.
Maximum number of addresses in the Emergency Administrator Council
All ‘Executive Proposals’ operate in a binary:
YES: modify the system with the new parameter setting or
NO: keep the system with current settings.
