OpenSwap Hybrid Smart Router
In this section of the documentation, we aim to provide to users some tips and frequently asked questions about OpenSwap Hybrid Smart Router.

Hybrid Smart Router FAQ

1. What happens if Queues are empty?

The Hybrid Smart Router will simply only use AMM pools to carry out a swap if no queues are available or if queues are insufficiently funded.

2. Is there a Testnet available now to check out?

An initial Testnet version will be available in late June 2021. More advanced versions will be incrementally released in the 2nd half of 2021.

3. Which chains and DEXes are supported?

OpenSwap has initially launched on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and will integrate with PancakeSwap V2 pools. Additional Ethereum and EVM compatible chains will be added and the Hybrid Smart Router is a core component of OpenSWap's Inter-Chain Protocol.

4. Is the Hybrid Smart Router audited?

As with other OpenSwap contracts, the associated smart contracts will be audited by reputable 3rd party security auditors and peer reviewers before they are released to the mainnet.

5. Will the Hybrid Router use more gas than current routing approaches?

If the router uses a 'hybrid multi-hop path' of the Queue + AMM pool, it is expected that due to the more efficient queue hop, the overall gas required would be lower than if a multi-hop AMM swap was conducted. In the event of an 'AMM pool-only' approach, it is expected that gas fees would be comparable.
6. Can other DEXes also create their own Hybrid Smart Router to tap into OpenSwap's Liquidity Queues?
Yes, it is possible. For security reasons, only whitelisted contracts will be able to interact with the Liquidity Queues. The whitelisting is managed through community governance, so any project can stake $OSWAP and propose to add themselves into the whitelist.
7. Will there be a scenario in a multi-hop swap using queues + AMM pool that only part of the swap takes place? (i.e. Only the Queue hop and not the AMM hop)?
Nope, swaps will be all or nothing.
